World Star’s 2007-vintage 737-800BDSF (34970, ex-Royal Flight) became the first next-generation narrowbody freighter to enter service with a Ukranian carrier in November. Cross-border delivery provider Nova Global took delivery of unit 34970 this year and flew a demonstration flight to Vilnius (VNO) on Sept. 18 under its Ukrainian registration before adding the aircraft to its subsidiary, SuperNova Airlines.

Unit 34970 is the third conversion completed by IAI for World Star. The lessor placed a conversion order for ten 737-800BDSFs with IAI in 2021.

World Star diversified its holdings in the narrowbody freighter segment when it acquired its first A321-200 for conversion with EFW and added thirty 737-400 freighters to its portfolio in 2022.
