GlobalX’s Ed Wegel to discuss freighter market in CFS 2023 Fireside Chat
Global Crossing Airlines Chairman and Chief Executive Ed Wegel will join Cargo Facts Symposium 2023 for a fireside chat to discuss the freighter market on Thursday, Oct. 26 at 10:10 a.m. PDT (GMT -5).

Miami-based Global Crossing Airlines launched passenger operations in 2021 and early this year took delivery of its first A321F. The carrier aims to be a significant player in the freighter segment in the Americas and has lease deals secured for up to five more A321 freighters by yearend, with more to follow in 2024.
GlobalX is targeting a mixed fleet of EFW and 321 Precision Conversions A321Fs and is eyeing entering the widebody market with A330Fs. The airline is also establishing a subsidiary in Colombia.
Wegel has more than thirty-five years of experience in the airline industry and in investment banking and restructuring. He was previously president and CEO of Eastern Air Lines Group and has held positions with carriers including Mesa Air Group, Tower Airlines, Chautauqua Airlines and BWIA International Airways.
