Family trips for dinner at Glasgow Airport kicked off Crawford’s interest in aviation. Having studied engineering at university – his first job was with Britain’s third largest airline Dan-Air. Thereafter he undertook a master’s degree in Air Transport at Cranfield University.
Moving to Airbus he was involved with the first sale to British Airways and taking over marketing for the Pacific saw success at Air New Zealand, Jetstar and Qantas. He returned to Toulouse to market A330s including the A330-200F and A330neo.
He is now in Freighter Marketing as Airbus now implements its comprehensive conversion and line-built freighter strategy starting with the A350F.
