Global RB211 Engine Director – Airlines & Fleets Sales

David Williams serves as Global RB211 Engine Director within the Airlines & Fleets Sales, Marketing
& Customers team. David is responsible for meeting customer requirements associated with the
Rolls-Royce RB211-535 turbofan engine, which powers 60% of Boeing 757s worldwide. David
coordinates closely with both the San Antonio, TX-based RB211-535 program team, as well as
with StandardAero’s Airline Sales Directors across the Americas, Asia-Pacific and Europe, Middle
East & Africa.
David joined StandardAero in 2020, and brought to the company extensive experience with the
RB211-535 market, in which he is a well-known and authoritative voice. David spent 38 years
with Rolls-Royce, including 11 years with Texas Aero Engine Services (TAESL), where he led the
company’s RB211-535 sales and marketing activities. David also spent two years with Jet Midwest
and a further two years with AAR, most recently as Director Rolls-Royce Engine Management,
responsible for the RB211-535 program. David has been instrumental to the success of our RB211
MRO line in San Antonio, which was stood up in 2018.
David holds a D.E.C. in Mechanical Engineering from Dawson College, Montreal, Canada, and has
taken various leadership courses at McGill University.
