David Ellis is Senior Vice President and Global Head of the Asset Transaction Group (ATG) at GA Telesis. David is responsible for overseeing the groups’ effort in identifying new investment opportunities, with a focus on buying used aircraft and engines subject to lease, for part out, trading or for other return-to-service strategies. He manages all aspects of the aircraft, engine leasing, and trading business. David oversees the team’s effort across all functions including commercial, technical, legal, and financial activities.  

Prior to joining GA Telesis, David was a principal at Mountain Capital Partners, a boutique aviation investment, leasing, and trading company based in Denver, CO. He has over 20 years’ experience working in an investment capacity within the aviation industry and maintains a well-developed network of aircraft traders, lessors, and airlines. 

David received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati with a major in Finance and a minor in Accounting. David lives in suburban Denver and enjoys year-round Colorado activities, with his wife and six children.
