Sierra joined MasAir and entered the cargo industry in 1994. He occupied several different positions until his promotion to CEO and president of the company, which was previously an affiliate of the LATAM Group. In 2018, Sierra struck a deal with LATAM to execute a spin-off of MasAir via a management buyout and teamed up with Discovery Americas to reorganize a new corporate structure and business plan for the carrier. Sierra holds an accounting degree.
