In the current role since September 2022 based in Brussels, Belgium, Malcolm heads up the DHL Express Global Fleet department. Key responsibilities include: 

• Long term fleet planning determining fleet requirements
• Lead all aircraft fleet acquisitions and disposals from inception through to steady state operation and manage major component and base maintenance programs
• Evaluate cargo conversion, engine, and major component programs for suitability and affordability to the global fleet
• Drive initiatives to reduce DHL’s carbon footprint towards Net Zero 2050 – electric & hydrogen technologies, SAF etc.

A DHL veteran with 35 years of service, Malcolm has worked in regional and global air network management roles starting in Birmingham in his native UK in 1988. Subsequent posting took him to Brussels (3 times) and Bonn in Europe and Bahrain in the Middle East. As you can see all posting locations start with a ‘B’ so wondering where the next posting could be… Bahamas maybe…?  

A native of Manchester, England (the blue side), Malcolm is married with two grown-up children recently released into the world of work. Unusually, Malcolm works in the degree he studied (International Transport, Cardiff University) and has worked for a single company his entire career.
