War in Iran leads Cargo Facts to move 2 events to Brussels
Cargo Facts is relocating two of its upcoming events to Brussels due to the war in Iran.
Cargo Facts Routes & Airports Conference on April 27-28 and Cargo Facts EMEA, April 28-30, were slated to be held in Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates, but will instead take place in Brussels.
As of last week, nearly 200 ballistic missiles and more than 1,000 military drones, designed to cause destruction, have been fired at the UAE by Iran.
“This is a crucial time for the EMEA region to come to together to discuss the market’s future,” said JJ Hornblass, the events’ Chairman. “We may be moving to Brussels, but our focus is on how the industry can remain resilient and opportunistic despite the disruptions resulting from the war. We can find a positive path forward.”
Other than location, all details related to the two events remain the same, including the dates, timing, agenda, speakers and sponsors.
Among the key confirmed speakers are:
- Saska Gerasimova, Group CEO of Chapman Freeborn;
- Baldvin Hermannsson, Chief Executive Officer, Air Atlanta Icelandic and Air Atlanta Europe;
- Guneet Mirchandani, Chairman, Air One;
- George Seturidze, Chief Executive Officer, Camex Airlines;
- Nadeem Sultan, Senior Vice President – Cargo Planning & Freighters, Emirates SkyCargo;
