Airbus’ David Waddington joins Cargo Facts Symposium 2023
David Waddington, director of sustainability marketing at Airbus, will join Cargo Facts Symposium 2023 for the panel discussion “Flying toward a sustainable future” on Thursday, Oct. 26, at 3:45 p.m. PDT (GMT -5).
The 29th Cargo Facts Symposium will take place Oct. 25-27 at the Omni Hotel in San Diego, where industry leaders will gather to share insights and analyses on developing market trends while providing an outlook on the air cargo industry in the Americas and around the world.

Waddington began his aviation career as an engineer with British Aerospace, developing Airbus programs before joining the manufacturer to work in product development and new technologies. With more than thirty years of industry experience, he was appointed director of sustainability marketing in 2019.
Airbus is actively developing, implementing and improving sustainability practices aimed at reducing the carbon footprint of its products. The French planemaker has implemented a decarbonization plan to reduce its emissions by 63% in seven years while increasing the use of renewable and low-carbon energy at its facilities, improving waste management efficiency and decreasing its water consumption through recycling.
