GAMECO’s Szepan joins Cargo Facts Asia 2026
GAMECO General Manager Marc Szepan will join Cargo Facts Asia 2026 for the panel discussion “Freighter conversions and MROs: Maximize resources and limit costs” on Wednesday, March 25, at 9:15 (UTC +8).
The 14th annual Cargo Facts Asia conference will take place March 23-25 at the W Shanghai, bringing together decision-makers, global executives and leaders to analyze the latest market trends, air cargo developments and their potential impact in Asia.
Szepan has been general manager of GAMECO since October 2022. He has held several MRO leadership roles over eighteen years in the industry, including at Lufthansa Technik, where he served as senior vice president for Lufthansa Systems.
GAMECO’s facility in Guangzhou provides touch labor for multiple conversion programs. The MRO converted Boeing’s 100th 767-300BCF in the first quarter of 2025. Boeing redelivered that aircraft to SF Airlines.
GAMECO launched its 767-300BCF conversion line in March 2022.
The MRO achieved two milestones in 2023, converting its twentieth 737-800BCF that June and a pair of COMAC C909CCFs — previously called ARJ21-700CCFs — which were delivered to China-based YTO Cargo Airlines and Air Central in October 2023.
During the panel discussion at the upcoming event in Shanghai, Szepan and Rafi Matalon, vice president and general manager of marketing at IAI Aviation Group, will discuss:
- Conversion availability dynamics and fleet strategy;
- Best practices for maintaining quality control and minimizing turnaround times; and
- Strategies for an effective and efficient carrier MRO plan.
Cargo Facts will present four invaluable events for airfreight professionals in 2026, the next of which is Cargo Facts Asia on March 23-25. To see the agendas and register for the events, visit CargoFactsEvents.com.
