Ahmad Luqman Mohd Azmi

With over 25 years of experience in the aviation industry, Ahmad Luqman is a seasoned leader known for driving operational excellence, business transformation, and strategic growth. He was recently appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mjets Air, a full freighter carrier established in 2020, which is currently in the process of expanding.

Before joining Mjets, he served as the CEO of the Airlines Business division at Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), overseeing Malaysia Airlines, Firefly, MASwings, and Amal. His leadership across these companies has led to significant business performance and transformation.

Throughout his career, Luqman has been at the forefront of aviation innovation and transformation. At Malaysia Airlines, he led engineering transformations and successfully implemented advanced systems such as the Aircraft Maintenance and Operations System (AMOS). His efforts also included revitalizing third-party Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services, delivering substantial cost savings and improving operational efficiency. As CEO of MASkargo, the cargo arm of Malaysia Airlines, he led a successful turnaround, helping to position the division as an important player in the regional cargo sector.

Ahmad Luqman holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Syracuse University (USA) and has completed leadership programs at both Harvard Business School and the University of Oxford. His education, combined with his extensive experience, underscores his reputation as a leader in the aviation industry.
