Bill Moore

Bill began his UPS career in 1993 as an intern in Flight Safety. After graduating from college, Bill officially joined UPS full-time as a Flight Publications specialist in 1994 and later moved into management in Aircraft Engineering. He held a variety of assignments of increasing responsibility as a supervisor and manager in Aircraft Engineering before transitioning to Aircraft Maintenance in 2006. In 2009, Bill relocated to San Antonio, Texas, to take responsibility for Major Maintenance.  

In 2016, Bill was promoted to division manager and held leadership roles in structures and liaison engineering, aircraft maintenance programs, SDF aircraft line maintenance, technical support and maintenance training. He also took special assignments in quality assurance and U.S. small package operations.  

In 2019, Bill was promoted to president, Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering. In this role, Bill led the direction of daily maintenance of UPS aircraft and related functions, with finance, safety, regulatory compliance, aircraft configuration, and fleet reliability as priorities. Throughout his career, Bill remains passionate about aviation, leading his teams in ensuring safe and reliable aircraft within the UPS network. He was promoted to his latest role leading UPS Airlines in 2023.  

Bill holds a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University. He also holds an FAA Airframe and Powerplant license.
