Claudio Terry is heading the new Cargo area and also Aviation Security at the Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association. He has a post-graduate degree in Production Engineering from the National Institute of Technology and a degree in Foreign Trade from UNESA. He has taken several extension courses, such as project management at Universidade Federal Fluminense, advanced negotiation at IBMEC, compliance at INSPER, safety in the transportation of radioactive material at the International Atomic Energy Agency and Quality Management System at the Centro de Capacitacion Aeronautica de Latinoamérica y el Caribe.

 

With an extensive career of over 30 years in the aviation industry, among his positions he has served as: logistics project manager at VARIGLOG; chief cargo officer at AVIANCA Brasil; cargo campaign manager at IATA in Brazil; safety manager at GRUAIRPORT; air cargo business manager and airline marketing for regional airports at Companhia Brasileira de Comércio Exterior (CBCE); aviation consultant (business plan for new cargo airline and regulatory affairs).

 

Regarding dangerous goods, Claudio has an intense experience and acted as consultant for the Brazilian Civil Aviation Authority in the UN and ICAO dangerous goods panels in the 90’s.
