With over 18 years of experience across diverse industries, Jan Philipp Poeter serves as Teleport’s Chief Business Officer, where he leads the company’s global expansion strategy. In this role, he focuses on strengthening e-commerce-driven trade flows, enabling the movement of goods from China into Southeast Asia, facilitating cross-border commerce within the region, and connecting Southeast Asia to global markets.

Jan brings deep expertise in scaling businesses across Asia’s rapidly evolving digital economy. Prior to joining Teleport, he held senior leadership roles at Daraz Group and Alibaba Group, where he played a key role in driving market expansion and operational growth.

He also brings a distinctive perspective shaped by his background in public policy, enabling him to recognise and harness the transformative potential of e-commerce and digitalisation in accelerating economic development across emerging markets.
