Jens Steinhagen is Senior Vice President of Program Management at Mammoth Freighters, the company producing the market-leading 777-200LRMF and 777-300ERMF conversions. He is responsible for planning and scheduling, customer contracts, and overall program control and execution.
He joined Mammoth in early 2023 after working at Boeing for over two decades, where he held senior roles in Program Management and Business Development for Boeing Converted Freighters and last served as Director of the 737-800BCF and 767-300BCF programs. Prior to his focus on freighter conversions starting in 2006, Jens led several successful large-scale Lean transformation projects as a change agent and project manager.
Jens began his Boeing career in 1999 as a Customer Support Engineer following a hands-on internship at Lufthansa Technik in Hamburg. Previously he flew F-4 Phantom and MiG-29 Fulcrum in the German Air Force. His lifelong passion for aviation began with flying gliders in his youth in Germany.
He holds an M.S. in Project Management from The George Washington University and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg, Germany.
Outside of work, Jens enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest with his two daughters and their dog. He plays several musical instruments and is an avid motorcyclist and enjoys foiling and surfing.
