Matthias Ierovante

Matthias Ierovante has spent 27 years in AIRBUS working on commercial freighter developments.

Currently he is part of the AIRBUS widebody derivatives development organization in Toulouse, France and in charge of freighters where he is the Deputy Head of A350F development closely working with the widebody chief engineering and AIRBUS commercial community.

In this role he is bringing in his experience in freighter design and freighter cargo loading, systems and ground operations.

Prior to his current position and starting in 2006, he led the A330-200F production freighter development as a technical leader being part of the A330 family chief engineering organization. After the project’s completion  and certification he was engaged in building the setup up of the industrial cooperation and partnership for the A330 passenger to freighter conversion programme of AIRBUS, EFW and its STC engineering provider based in Singapore.

He began his career in 1999 in AIRBUS Germany as a system development engineer for main deck cargo loading systems before he moved to France to become the customer interface of the A300-600F production freighter programme and aircraft definition.
