Steven Polmans has over 25 years of experience in the air cargo industry, starting his career in 1995 in ground handling across multiple European airports. He joined Brussels Airport in 2010 as Cargo Marketing Manager and became Head of Cargo & Logistics in 2012, where he led the airport’s cargo strategy. In 2019, he was appointed Director Cargo & Logistics, adding responsibility for real estate development and portfolio management.

In 2021, he joined Nallian as Chief Customer Officer, followed by a role as VP Cargo at Abu Dhabi Airports Company in 2022. In July 2023, he founded his own advisory company focused on air cargo strategy, business development, and community building. Since January 2026, he serves as SVP Global Cargo at Swissport, driving the growth and strengthening of its global cargo portfolio.

Alongside his executive career, Steven has played a key role in industry collaboration and innovation. He co-founded Air Cargo Belgium in 2016 and launched pharma.aero, an association promoting excellence in pharmaceutical logistics. He joined the board of TIACA in 2016, became Vice Chairman in 2017, and served as Chairman from 2019 to 2025.
