Vivian Lau

Vivian LAU – Intrapreneur and Entrepreneur connecting and enabling economic opportunities in Asia Pacific and the world.  

Vivian is the Chair and Group CEO of Pacific Air Holdings Limited, an integrated solution provider for Passenger and Cargo Airline Sales and Services Management and E-Commerce Logistics Fulfilment.  She joined the organization as Vice Chair and Group CEO in 2019 and led the organization through the unprecedented COVID 19 times.  She was promoted to her current position in 2022.

 

With over 30 years of international leadership experience from industries spanning educational NGO, petrochemical, leadership development, IT&T, online, advertising and airline industries, she possesses a proven track record in starting, growing, managing and restructuring organizations.

 

Prior to joining Pacific Air Holdings Limited, Vivian Lau was the President and CEO of JA Asia Pacific, a member of JA Worldwide, one of the world’s largest youth-serving NGOs dedicated to preparing youth in 18 countries/markets in Asia Pacific for the future of jobs and work.

 

A pioneer slasher, from 2004 to 2015, Ms. Lau was the Chief Executive Officer of JA Hong Kong.  From 2005 to 2011, in addition to her role in JA Hong Kong, she was the Chief Executive Officer of Hong Kong Petrochemical Co Ltd, a US$200 million turnover and 100 people strong petrochemical manufacturing company based in Yuen Long, New Territories, Hong Kong.

 

She started her career with Qantas Airways in Sydney, Australia. During her tenure with the airline, she had delivered successful business processes and systems for Qantas Holidays, Qantas Freight and the Joint Service Agreement between Qantas and British Airways.  A forerunner in the interactive industry, she founded Grey Interactive Hong Kong and China, one of the first interactive agencies in Hong Kong.

 

Ms. Lau holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from the University of Texas at Austin, USA and Business Administration (MBA) from Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia.

 

She has been recognized with different local and international awards for her professional accomplishments and community services including Internet Superstar of the Year, Jessica Most Successful Women Award,  AmCham Professional Woman of the Year.  She was named as the 2019 Soraya Salti Award, in honor of leaders who are committed and innovative visionaries that push the boundaries to move JA forward in a positive way, particularly to bring systematic change to the Asia Pacific region.

 

She has been the curator and convener of TEDxYouth@Hongkong for nine consecutive years since 2011, and has been an active contributor to industries and communities in Asia Pacific.  She has served on different industry and HKSAR Government panels.
