Air Atlanta’s Jonsson joins Cargo Facts LATAM 2026

Unndor Jonsson, vice president of sales and marketing at Air Atlanta Icelandic, will join Cargo Facts LATAM for the panel discussion “Expanding widebody freighter capacity in Latin America” on Thursday, Feb. 12, at 9:15 a.m. (GMT-6).

The fourth annual Cargo Facts LATAM conference will take place Feb. 10-12 at the Marquis Reforma in Mexico City, assembling decision-makers, global executives and leaders to share insights and analyze the latest market trends, air cargo developments and their potential impact in Latin America.

Jonsson was promoted to his current role in 2019. He has worked for Air Atlanta Icelandic for more than eighteen years, and previous jobs included leadership roles at WOW Air and Avion Express.

Air Atlanta Icelandic’s Malta-based affiliate, Air Atlanta Europe, became the second carrier to launch 777-300ERSF operations in December 2025. It began operating the 2005-vintage unit 32788 on behalf of Hungary Airlines after Fly Meta leased the freighter from AerCap.

Air Atlanta Icelandic and Air Atlanta Europe collectively have fourteen 747-400 freighters in their fleet. They are a mix of production -400Fs, -400BCFs and -400BDSFs in service on behalf of Fly Meta, Magma Aviation, Network Aviation and Saudia Cargo.
