Boeing continues to lead the narrowbody conversion market and redelivered the fourth 737-800BCF to join WestJet from its COOPESA line earlier this month.

Oman Air inducted its first 737-800BCF for conversion with Boeing in July; Indonesia-based Raindo United Services took delivery of its first 737-800BCF last month.

Meanwhile, Boeing has a steady stream of customers for its 767-300BCF program, with Atlas Air converting its own 767-300ER for the first time in four years and Saltchuk Aviation taking redelivery of unit 30566 in July as part of its transition to younger 767-300BCFs. Other customers include CAM, DHL, LATAM and SF Airlines.

Weiss joined Boeing in 2003 as a production and materials engineer. Before becoming director of Boeing’s 737 and 767 conversions, he held roles in the supply chain, materials and training development for the 737 MAX and Boeing’s defense programs.

Cargo Facts Symposium, taking place live Oct. 25-27 at the Omni San Diego, is the essential event for stakeholders in the freighter and air cargo industry.
