IAI achieved a conversion milestone in the first quarter of this year when it redelivered its 200th converted 767 freighter. Meanwhile, IAI’s 777-300ERSF conversion program is in the final phase of the approval process after receiving type inspection authorization in December 2023.
Although World Star added thirty 737-400 freighters to its portfolio in 2022, the lessor is seeking replacements for the type and recently told Cargo Facts it is evaluating the E190F conversion program.
World Star expanded its narrowbody freighter portfolio in 2022 with its first A321-200 acquisition for conversion with EFW. The U.K.-based lessor also took redelivery of the first of ten 737-800BDSF conversions (34014, ex-Virgin Australia) in August 2023.
IAI appointed Matalon as vice president and general manager of marketing for its Aviation Group in January 2019. He joined IAI in 1981 and served in various roles with the company prior to his promotion to chief executive of IAI subsidiary Aerohandling Ground Handling Services Co.
World Star appointed Abreu as vice president of marketing and sales in January 2023. He previously managed fleet planning and contracts for TAP Air Portugal.
Daniel Galhardo Gomes, strategic marketing director for commercial aviation at Embraer, will also join the conversion market discussion as a panelist.
Cargo Facts LATAM will provide attendees a forum to engage with key decision-makers in the air cargo market in the Latin American region.
