Eddo Weijer, is the Commercial Director of Icelease. Icelease is an aircraft lessor based in Iceland. The company primarily invests in single-aisle commercial aircraft and freighters and leases to airlines worldwide. In 2021 they committed to 11 x 800 conversion slots with Boeing. They were the launch customer with Boeing to convert aircraft at their London Gatwick facility. Prior to Icelease, Eddo worked for GA Telesis as Vice President, Head of Engine Transactions for over 10 years. During this time, he was responsible for the sales, acquisitions and engine leasing of new, mature, and part-out engines. He transacted in over 400 engines. Earlier in his career he worked as Director of Business Development at Willis Lease where he worked on strategic expansions including the establishment of the Willis Mitsui Joint venture. Originally from the Netherlands Weijer has lived in seven countries. He holds a Master’s degree in Air Transport Management from Cranfield University in the UK, and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the Hanze University in Amsterdam. He resides in Denver. Weijer is an active member on the ISTAT Foundation Board and is actively involved supporting important charities in aviation.
