Peck, who has been in his current role since January 2023, previously led ZeroAvia’s commercial and business development. Prior to that, he served as vice president of sales and marketing for Royal Aero, sales director for Carlisle Interconnect Technologies and vice president at Rolls-Royce for customers in the Middle East and Africa.
ZeroAvia is developing hydrogen-electric power plants and reached a deal in the first quarter of 2023 to supply its ZA600 engines to San Diego-based Natilus, which will install them onto its Kona cargo drones. Ameriflight and Volatus Aerospace have placed orders for the Kona, which can carry payloads of up to 4.3 tonnes.
“The increasing seriousness of the climate crisis will put evermore scrutiny on how companies get their goods to the end user,” Peck told Cargo Facts. “Investors and customers will be putting on enhanced pressure and air cargo operators will simply not be able to stay competitive when carbon rather than convenience is the main competitive metric.”
Cargo Facts EMEA 2024 will provide attendees with an overview of the pivotal events that shaped the industry in the past year while analyzing market conditions, trends and new developments.
