George Seturidze, chief executive of Camex Airlines, will join Cargo Facts EMEA 2024 for the panel discussion “The latest in narrowbody freighter conversions” on Tuesday, Feb. 6, at 15:15 (GMT +1).

Seturidze served as chairman for the Department of Roads at the Georgian Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development as well as Counsellor at the Ministry of Agriculture. He was the president of U.S.-based AF Alliance and was responsible for implementing international airfreight projects. Before becoming CEO of Camex, Seturidze was the chairman of the airline’s supervisory board and initiated founding of the Georgia-based carrier, playing a key role in its development.

Camex Airlines is one of several new carriers in Georgia and received its AOC in August 2022. It launched with a 737-800BCF on lease from BBAM and, in 2023, added a 737-800SF on lease from World Star Aviation.

Camex plans to expand its reach and has set up a subsidiary airline in Slovenia, Camex Adria Airlines, which carried out its first certification flight with a 737-800BCF this month.

“We see the challenges faced by narrowbody freighter operators in the industry, but I believe that if ongoing industry processes are correctly analyzed, they can serve as the foundation for successful operations,” Seturidze said. “In 2024, I anticipate the stabilization of operations and look forward to overcoming these challenges.”

Cargo Facts EMEA 2024 will provide attendees with an overview of the pivotal events that shaped the industry in the past year while analyzing market conditions, trends and new developments.
