Atlas Air recently decided to cease providing CMI service for Amazon by 2025 as part of its ‘One Atlas’ strategy. Amazon transferred two of its seventeen 767-300Fs on June 25 to ATSG’s ABX Air from Atlas Air and will transition its ten Atlas-operated 737-800BCFs to Sun Country Airlines.

To fulfill the ‘One Atlas’ goals established in 2023 to achieve high utilization and more lucrative international flying, Atlas acquired two PW4000-powered production 747-400Fs from Silk Way West Airlines and two CF6-powered production -400Fs from Jetran in May.

In addition to the 747-400Fs, Atlas ordered two more 777Fs and expects to operate two of the Boeing production freighters for French shipping group CMA CGM on a CMI basis by yearend.
