Saltchuk Aviation CEO Seaton joins Cargo Facts Symposium 2024

Betsy Seaton, chief executive of Saltchuk Aviation, will join Cargo Facts Symposium 2024 for a discussion titled: “State of the freighter conversion market: Too many or too few conversions and conversion capacity?” at the Omni Hotel in San Diego on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at 16:10 PDT (GMT -5).

Cargo Facts Symposium, which takes place Oct. 14-16, has been the premiere event for the freighter aircraft industry for three decades. The event gathers industry leaders to share their insights with stakeholders and attendees, provides in-depth analysis of the air cargo sector and enables participants to expand their network with respected executives and decision-makers.

Seaton was appointed CEO of Saltchuk Aviation, parent company of Northern Air Cargo, Aloha Air Cargo, StratAir and Ryan Air, in 2019, after serving as senior vice president of operations for nearly five years. She previously held several leadership roles with Weyerhaeuser for 22 years.

Saltchuk Aviation made the decision in 2020 to shift its 767 freighter fleet strategy by moving away from leasing to acquire its own 767-300ERs for conversion.

Earlier this year, the company parked three of four 767-300BCFs (30563, 30564 and 28141) it had purchased and converted because of the softer market.

In addition to those four freighters, Saltchuk’s fleet includes:

  • One 767-300ER (28043) in conversion;
  • Three 767-300BDSFs (29431, 25451 and 25199) on lease from CAM;
  • One 737-800SF;
  • Four 737-400Fs; and
  • Five 737-300Fs.

The 30th Cargo Facts Symposium will take place Oct. 14-16 at the Omni Hotel in San Diego. Gain valuable insights, success strategies and networking opportunities at this special anniversary event. Learn more and register today to take advantage of our early-bird sale.
